The Gerber LMF II Infantry knife was designed in conjunction with military and military instructors to be used in any survival situation. The blade is 3/16" thick, 12C 27 stainless steel with a no glare, blackened finish and Rockwell Hardness of 58.

The handle has been designed for overall comfort and provides a good grip. Relieved oval and holes in handle to allow for use as a spear. The butt cap, which can be used as a hammer or as a window punch; even through helicopter plexiglas, is separated from the tang of the blade to reduce shock and provide electrical insulation.

The sheath has a low profile to minimize interference with movement. Made of soft, yet rigid composite to reduce noise. It also has a patented sharpener included which can be attached to a belt, leg, or molle vest.
